Seminole Heights Boundaries
What are the boundaries of Seminole Heights
Seminole Heights neighborhood boundaries are the Hillsborough River to the west and north, Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. to the south and 22nd St. to the east. Through the years Seminole Heights has been “sub-divided” into smaller communities within its boundaries. Seminole Heights History
Seminole Heights was born in 1911, T. Roy Young had 40 acres and a dream to develop Tampa’s first suburb three miles north of downtown, he called it Seminole Heights. Ten years earlier Tampa’s population has reached 26,000. A trolley line connected Sulphur Springs to downtown making travel to the suburbs possible and inviting.
